I'm in Baltimore at the annual meeting of the Association of Medical Illustrators. Yesterday afternoon was my last Board meeting before rotating off. It's been a fun 8 years, with a lot of work, and a time that I learned much about things that I didn't think I could do. I'll still be the Chair of the Meeting Planning Council, so still plenty of challenges ahead.
Today was a separate, special program held at Johns Hopkins, where they're celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Art as Applied to Medicine department. Tomorrow is the official opening of the AMI meeting and the breakfast opening of our Salon art show.
As usual, the AMI has cooked up a local heat wave for the meeting, but a stop by the hotel bar will help with that.
