At last the weather, for the next couple of days anyway, has warmed up to what could be considered summer-like temperatures. The days of gin and tonics vs. B&B.

I took the dogs into town with me, and gave them a treat by stopping at River Park. Every tree trunk and bush was carefully inspected, and messages left. The Bitterroot River is up a bit again today - the bush at the curve upriver of the Westside bridge was under water. Standing on the bank in the park, you get a much better sense of how fast the water is flowing. You could be in Missoula in no time, if it wasn't so dangerous to float. The snow in the mountains is almost gone, and the forecast calls for the water levels to be just under flood stage on Fri., and then falling from there.
